Anne Barker Medical Herbalist is a family clinic practising Western Herbal Medicine to patients across Scotland. Prior to commencing practice in September 2006, Anne Barker underwent four years’ rigorous study in Herbal Medicine at the NIMH-accredited programme at Napier University, as well as more than 600 hours in clinical training.
Anne Barker operates from a tranquil location, providing patients with a full medical consultation followed by an individually-tailored prescription, dispensed at the clinic. The aim of treatment is to restore the balance of the body, thus enabling it to mobilise its own healing powers. Prescriptions are dispensed using high quality tinctures, teas and creams supplied by manufacturers of sustainable organic herbal medicines. She is a general practitioner, with an interest in paediatrics and the special problems of singers.
